"Humble yourselves, therefore, under God’s mighty hand, that he may lift you up in due time."
This verse reminds us that true strength is found in humility. When we surrender our pride and recognize our dependence on God, we allow His hand to guide and shape us.
The “mighty hand” of God represents His power and care — He is both strong to protect and gentle to restore. Many times, we want immediate results, but Peter teaches that exaltation comes “in due time,” according to God’s perfect schedule, not ours.
Humility isn’t weakness; it’s trust. It’s saying, “God, I know You’re in control, and I’ll wait on You.”
Reflection Invitation:
Today, take a moment to humble your heart before God. Surrender your worries, ambitions, and timing to Him. Ask yourself — in what area of my life do I need to trust His mighty hand more deeply? Then, walk it out in faith and obedience.
